What is Shamanic Healing?

Shamanism has been practiced by our ancestors all around the world for thousands of years all over the world as a spiritual practice and healing modality and is still practiced today. It probably began about 20.000 to 50.000 years ago.

The word Shaman comes from Siberia and means “spiritual healer” or “the one that sees in the dark”. Shamans are mediators between the natural world and the spiritual realm. The repetitive beating of the drum and rattles aids them to move into an altered state of consciousness that enables them to go on a mental journey and leads them back to health.

This type of healing work focuses on your well-being on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. It is about finding the voice of the wild soul within and allowing it to be heard. One could say that it is also about pulling out what no longer serves us and filling it with power, our Divine Light. While connecting to our Higher Self we restore our creative and positive intention and walk an empowered sacred path of self-healing.

By restoring harmony in the mind, body and the energy field around us, we can move forward in our life and not keep on dwelling in the past. We allow ourselves go back to a better state of health and find our sense of purpose or wholeness. We also have a greater connection to love and creativity. The ways to improve our well-being are endless.

What to expect in a shamanic healing session

We first explore the theme or challenges you bring to the healing session. The aim is to bring your energy back into balance, so that you feel more in harmony with your circumstances. During the session drums and rattles may be used to get into a trance-like state of mind, asking for guidance how to release what is holding you back. At the end we share and integrate the healing to create new patterns.

This intuitive healing is guided by spirit. It is important to keep an open mind and let the healing work through you. Every session is unique and very individual.
