Don’t you have the urge sometimes to just stop?!
From about October/ November, when the days get noticeably shorter our body starts to slow down most of us just want to rest, take it easy and snuggle up in front of the fire. Pretty much the same as the bears in winter we want to return back into our cave and hibernate for a little while.
Why is it then that especially in the weeks before Christmas everyone starts to go a bit crazy?! If it is not the busy Christmas buzz with the last minute shopping hunts and people crowding up on us, that cause exhaustion, then it is most likely our boss challenging us to be even more productive and to squeeze the last bit of juice out of the business year. Uff!
These two worlds are contradicting, pulling us in different directions – to run or to rest? – so that we are left confused and tired. And then they say :”January is on the doorstep. Just start fresh in the new year and give it all!” Well, it seems that something crucial has been forgotten. When do we re-charge?
Do you regularly check in with yourself noticing how YOU feel?
I invite you to stop for a minute and just feel yourself.
No distractions, just you. Focus on your breath and close your eyes. Scan yourself from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
How does your body feel?
Full of energy and vitality? Or aches and pains you haven’t quite noticed or that have been aggravated?
How about your emotional well-being?
Do you generally feel happy and content or is there something bothering you?
And your spiritual well-being?
Are you aligned to your higher self? Is there something you need?
Feel your feet firmly on the ground and wiggle your toes. Open your eyes.

Do this little exercise whenever you feel the need to. Checking in with ourselves is important and it doesn’t take much time to just listen. Let the hamster wheel stop for a little while so that you can rest and adjust the pace.
Have a happy new year full of health, abundance and prosperity!
Love, Pia
