Just a few months ago I have re-discovered “my music” – the music that comes from the heart and elates you. I have to say, it was a revelation to my happiness, my spiritual well-being!

When I was 10 I first started learning classical guitar, which later became a bit more folky. Although I enjoyed it, it never felt like “my music” and soon enough I lost interest and played little, not really having the need for it.

Nevertheless, I have always felt deeply connected to music – exploring different styles of music, like world music, tribal music and of course not to forget the rock and pop of our age, and everything else in between.🎶🎵🎼🎸

Something shifted within me last summer and I finally followed the call and got myself a Bodhrán (an Irish frame drum played with a stick). As I wasn’t acquainted with this type of instrument it took me a while to get used to it. I really enjoy playing percussions now and experiment with different sounds. As you might read in between the lines I didn’ t stop with the Bodhrán. I got hooked and several more instruments found a new home with me: a Djembe, different types of rattles, singing bowls, jaw’s harps…. and since recently a Shruti Box too (Indian Harmoninum, picture)! An orchestra of sounds! Too bad I cannot play them all at once!!!
